Between 2023 and 2024, our engineers worked on several missions for energy-sector clients through Sopra Steria, on systems that support operations, sensitive utility data and gas trading.

Each system was critical in its own way: an internal tool used for operational steering, APIs handling sensitive utility data under regulatory constraints, and a day-trading application supporting a national-scale trading desk under high-frequency load.

## What we did

- Led development of an internal operational supervision tool, with reliable APIs and a React front end.
- Enforced the client's security standards across the stack and stabilized critical features.
- Built secure APIs for sensitive utility-sector data and automated internal business workflows.
- Led the Java 8 to 16 migration of a critical gas day-trading application and optimized its capacity and energy-flow calculations.

## Results

- Noticeably fewer production incidents on the supervision tool.
- More stable Spring Boot services under high-frequency market load.
- Security hardened across trading-critical modules.
